No More Deadlocks in Tunnels Mala Kapela and Sveti Rok

All visitors travelling along the motorway A1 need no longer fear
deadlocks at the tunnels of Mala Kapela and Sveti Rok. At the beginning
of April, a new lane was opened for traffic in each of these
two longest Croatian tunnels, enabling two-lane traffic in both directions
and greatly contributing to a better traffic flow. (more…)

The 64th FIM Rally in Zadar

Gathering motorcyclists from 30

2000 drivers and co-drivers from around 30 countries from all over
the world are expected at the 64th FIM Rally, held in Zaton, near

Opatija celebrates 120 years as a health resort

At the beginning of March, Opatija, a prominent tourist destination in the
Kvarner Bay, celebrated its 120th anniversary as a health resort. In the
Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, extensive research that was carried out

Croatia Boat Show expected to promote tourism

Minister of Tourism Damir Bajs opened the 11th annual Croatia Boat Show on 28 March in Split.

Bajs said the Split fair was among the top ten nautical fairs in the world and was extremely important for promotion of Croatian tourism.

Bajs said: “Now, at a time of world crisis when many nautical fairs have closed their doors, Split offers the Croatia Boat Show, which will attract many foreign tourists. We expect around 50,000 visitors, which will be a great promotion of Croatian tourism considering that many world media also have interest in the fair.” (more…)

Croatia’s tourism to drop some 15-20%

Croatian Bureau of Statistics - Tourism - Jan 2009

In January 2009, the number of tourist arrivals in all commercial accommodation facilities in the Republic of Croatia decreased by 1%, while the number of nights increased by 5%, as compared to January 2008.

Tourists realised 365 241 tourist nights: 53.3% by domestic and 46.7% by foreign tourists. (more…)
